It is designed to enable users to mint a stablecoin known as USDr. This stablecoin is created by using yield-bearing collateral, specifically liquidity provider (LP) tokens. The core function of Ratio Protocol involves quantitative risk assessment. The platform utilizes its own algorithms to evaluate the risk associated with all collateral, aiming to ensure the safety and solvency of the protocol. The mission of Ratio Finance is to unlock the liquidity of Solana's assets and reduce the downside risk for participants providing liquidity within the DeFi ecosystem, while maintaining full transparency. Key features of the Ratio Protocol include the ability to mint USDr with 0% interest and the absence of liquidations on collateral. Users of the protocol can also visualize the risks of liquidation for non-stable collateral, which assists them in making informed decisions regarding where to provide liquidity. The native token of the project is RATIO, which serves as a governance token. Holders of RATIO can use it for various purposes, including whitelisting accepted collateral, adjusting accepted oracles, modifying the risk algorithms that determine how much USDr can be minted against crypto assets, and influencing emissions for different types of collateral used on the platform. It is also utilized for governance votes to decide how network resources are allocated. Ratio Protocol was founded by Samiar Tehrani and Shimon Newman.
