QiSwap (QI) is a decentralized exchange, also known as a DEX, that operates primarily on the Qtum blockchain. Its main objective is to contribute to the growth and evolution of the decentralized finance, or DeFi, ecosystem. The platform is designed to allow users to exchange various tokens without the need for intermediaries, promoting a decentralized and secure trading environment. QiSwap aims to provide a fast, professional, and secure platform, characterized by low transaction fees and a high transaction rate. The Qtum blockchain, on which QiSwap operates, is noted for its relatively quick block confirmation times and a transaction capacity of 70 transactions per second. QiSwap utilizes an Automated Market Maker, or AMM, system, similar to the smart contracts found in Uniswap. This mechanism enables users to trade cryptocurrencies directly from their digital wallets. Liquidity providers, who are crucial to the platform's decentralized architecture, contribute token pairs to liquidity pools. In return for providing this liquidity, these providers earn a portion of the fees generated from token swaps. Users need QiWallet, which can be found as a Google Chrome extension, to pay for gas fees when swapping tokens or providing liquidity. The native utility token of the platform is QI. QI serves as a governance token, allowing its holders to participate in decisions regarding the future development and upgrades of the QiSwap ecosystem.
