POWERCITY Earn Protocol, identified by the token 'EARN', is a component of the larger POWERCITY ecosystem designed to enhance the PulseChain network. It functions as a decentralized borrowing protocol, enabling users to secure interest-free loans. Users can obtain these loans by depositing PLSX, which is the native token of PulseX, as collateral. The loans are disbursed in PXDC, a stablecoin that is pegged to the US Dollar. A minimum collateral ratio of 110% must be maintained for these loans. The protocol is characterized by its non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free nature. The 'EARN' token itself serves as a secondary token within the protocol. Its primary purpose is to incentivize early participants and providers to the Stability Pool. Users can acquire EARN tokens by depositing PXDC into the Stability Pool. Those who provide liquidity to the Stability Pool also receive PLSX from liquidation events. Furthermore, EARN token holders have the option to stake their tokens, which allows them to earn a share of the fees generated from borrowing and redemption activities within the protocol. The 'EARN' token has a fixed maximum supply of 100,000,000 tokens. Its distribution follows a yearly halving schedule. Beyond the Earn Protocol, the broader POWERCITY ecosystem encompasses other functionalities such as the POWERCITY CORE staking platform, the PortalX Swap for cross-chain transactions, and the PixelPark NFT Marketplace.
