OpenLeverage (OLE) is a permissionless lending and margin trading protocol designed for the Web3 ecosystem. It aims to provide traders with efficient and secure options to engage in long or short positions on any trading pair available on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). A core feature of OpenLeverage is its permissionless nature, meaning anyone can create lending and trading pools for any token pair found on a DEX. The protocol integrates with various top Automated Market Maker (AMM) DEXs, such as Uniswap, Sushiswap, and PancakeSwap, to aggregate liquidity. It operates across multiple blockchain networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Kucoin Community Chain. OpenLeverage offers single-sided lending, where isolated and independent lending pools facilitate lending with minimal risk. Lenders can earn interest from borrowed assets. The platform also employs an OnDemand Oracle that uses time-weighted average price (TWAP) to calculate collateral ratios with real-time AMM prices, helping to prevent price manipulation and flash loan attacks. All funds on the platform are stored in smart contracts, ensuring transparency and security while maintaining user anonymity in trades and borrowings. The native utility token of the OpenLeverage ecosystem is OLE. It serves to provide incentives and facilitate community usage. Users can earn OLE through activities such as trading, lending, and referring new members. There is also a governance token called xOLE, which users receive by providing liquidity for the OLE-BUSD pair on a designated partner DEX and staking their LP tokens. OLE has an initial supply of 1 billion tokens, which are vested over five years, with a maximum perpetual inflation rate of 3.00% per year thereafter. The project's mission is to build a decentralized margin trading infrastructure without the need for permissions, allowing for the creation of markets with isolated and market-adjusted risk controls. OpenLeverage aims to develop a decentralized crypto securities service for both retail and institutional clients, encompassing decentralized lending, derivatives trading, and asset management infrastructure that integrates with the broader DeFi ecosystem.
