Nexell-AI (NXL) is a Web3 project that operates as a decentralized and scalable Layer-1 blockchain. It is a fork of the Kaspa blockchain, known for its open-source nature and scalability. Nexell-AI utilizes the Nxlhash algorithm and employs a GPU-focused fork, aiming to support small-scale miners and enhance network decentralization by addressing the dominance of ASIC mining operations. The project incorporates the GHOSTDAG Protocol, which distinguishes it from conventional blockchain systems. Instead of discarding concurrently generated blocks, GHOSTDAG allows them to coexist, establishing a consensus-based sequence. This effectively makes Nexell-AI function as a blockDAG. The GHOSTDAG mechanism facilitates high block rates, with a current target of one block per second and future aspirations of reaching 32 or even 100 blocks per second, resulting in very low confirmation times primarily limited by internet latency. Nexell-AI's implementation includes several innovative features and subprotocols, such as Reachability for assessing the DAG's structure, block data pruning, and SPV proofs. It also plans to support subnetworks in the future to integrate Layer 2 solutions. A key aspect of Nexell-AI's research and development is its focus on a distributed artificial intelligence network on BlockDAG. The vision is for each node in the BlockDAG to act as an autonomous AI agent. These agents are intended to collaborate on tasks like machine learning, data processing, and decision-making within the BlockDAG structure, leveraging its efficiency, transparency, and security. Envisioned advantages include distributed learning, enhanced security through decentralization, and real-time data processing.
