Neptune Cash (NPT) is a crypto and Web3 project that focuses on providing a privacy-preserving, scalable, and quantum-secure Layer 1 blockchain protocol. At its core, Neptune Cash is built on a native blockchain and utilizes a memory-hard Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism. The protocol integrates advanced cryptographic techniques, including zk-STARKs (Zero-Knowledge Scalable Transparent Arguments of Knowledge) directly at its base layer. This allows for client-side transaction proofs and efficient block aggregation, which helps enhance scalability and privacy. Neptune Cash also employs mutator sets to achieve privacy without compromising efficiency and incorporates post-quantum cryptography to ensure security against potential future quantum computing threats from its inception. The platform supports versatile and Turing-complete smart contracts, enabling the development of complex decentralized applications while maintaining transaction privacy. The core client and Triton VM are open-source and written in Rust. The native token, NPT, serves multiple functions within the Neptune Cash ecosystem. It is used for transaction fees, allowing users to send value and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) built on the platform.
