The CAPSULE (CAPS) token is associated with Ternoa, a Web3 project focused on creating a next-generation blockchain and NFT framework. Ternoa aims to provide secured, decentralized, and long-term data transmission. The project utilizes NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) as vehicles to store encrypted data and employs built-in oracles to manage the release of this data to third parties over time. This design enables what Ternoa calls "True Ownership" of digital data for users. Ternoa's protocol operates on a Nominated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, which is designed for energy efficiency and scalability. The CAPS token serves several key functions within the Ternoa ecosystem. It is used for governance, allowing holders to vote on the future development and expansion of the blockchain. Additionally, CAPS tokens are essential for network security, as validators and nominators pledge them to secure the network, and rewards are distributed to these participants. All transactions on the Ternoa platform, including the creation of NFTs and the encryption and storage of data, are conducted using CAPS. Beyond data storage, Ternoa aims to offer utility NFTs that combine decentralization and encryption with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) to create private data containers. Users can generate these capsules on the Ternoa blockchain, where an NFT is minted to contain private and encrypted data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and decentralized security. These memory capsules can be transferred to a new owner by providing the private keys, with options for time-bound transfer protocols. Ternoa also provides its own cryptocurrency wallet for managing CAPS tokens. Another project named Capsule focuses on "packaging and shipping for blockchain" by enabling secure batch transfers, sending, and recalling of assets. This project allows for programmable, gasless transfers with enhanced security features, and offers an API for integration into other projects. It supports rerouting or recalling transfers after they have been sent and allows for the addition of on-chain or off-chain security to any transfer. It's worth noting that the term "capsule" also refers to physical devices like the Cryptosteel Capsule, which are metal instruments designed for the offline, durable storage of cryptocurrency seed phrases and private keys, offering protection against physical damage and extreme conditions.
