Streamex Corp. has hired former Morgan Stanley executive Christine Plummer as its new chief financial officer, the company said Monday.

The Nasdaq-listed firm, ticker symbol STEX, is focused on tokenizing real-world assets like gold. Streamex said Plummer will oversee the company's finances as it expands its institutional platform.

"Christine brings a combination of deep traditional finance experience and leadership in digital asset infrastructure," Streamex co-founder and CEO Henry McPhie said. "We believe her background at Coinbase, along with her earlier career at Morgan Stanley, gives her a unique perspective as we bring tokenized commodity products like GLDY to market."

Besides serving more than two decades at Morgan Stanley, Plummer also worked as a global controller at cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

In February, Streamex launched GLDY, a tokenized security designed to offer investors exposure to gold while generating yield. The company has said it believes gold tokenization could outperform Bitcoin, citing higher trading volume, greater market capitalization, and increased institutional adoption.
